Georgia Coordination and Information Officer


The Austrian Red Cross, Department of International Cooperation, is currently looking for a
Coordination and Information Officer for Georgia/Tbilisi
to join our multi-country team in the implementation of a regional EU funded project in the area of civil society development, network building, policy dialogue and awareness raising, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. The project will be realized in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
objectives:
• support project manager of an EU funded regional project in project implementation, with strong focus on monitoring, reporting/documentation and finance administration
• management of set up of external communication structure (e.g. website, facebook, twitter, youtube)
tasks:
• finance administration of regional EU project
• coherent and comprehensive project documentation
• responsible for well-functioning of external communication via online media
• supervising project related monitoring and reporting activities in project countries
• independent coordination of assigned project activities
• assist in management of accountability and evaluation process
• assist in donor and stakeholder reporting and communication
skills needed:
• EU citizenship
• university degree and 3-5 years experience working in development cooperation or humanitarian assistance abroad
• professional experience in project management, ideally with focus on monitoring, evaluation, reporting and documentation
• experience in project coordination and finance administration of EU funded projects
• experience in the organization of meetings and/or workshops
• excellent knowledge of English
• good knowledge of Russian would be an asset
• experience working in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement would be an asset
• proficient with Microsoft Office, finance administration systems, knowledge of online communication tools would be an asset
• cultural awareness and ability to work in a multi-cultural team
• solution-oriented, flexible personality with team spirit and ability to work under pressure and on different tasks at the same time
Salary: Monthly salary depended on the previous periods of employment of min. 2.973,62€ gross (incl. overtime-hours and other bonuses)
On this employment Austrian law is applied on taxes and social-insurance. Please note, that individual questions regarding the possibility of transferring retirement- and insurance-times into another country have to be clarified by the applicants themselves.
