We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Forensic Science. The successful applicant is expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching, operation and development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at all levels, including final year undergraduate and MSc project supervision. You will also be expected to contribute to the Faculty's research and innovation portfolio. You will have a good Honours degree in a relevant subject area as well as either a demonstrable profile of research activity and/or standing in the application of forensic science. You will be able to  demonstrate expertise in the theoretical and practical aspects of more than one of the following chemical criminalistics/trace evidence analysis topics at academic or practitioner level: paint, glass, fire, fingerprints (comparison and/or chemical enhancement), footwear (comparison and/or chemical enhancement)
You will contribute to the general delivery of taught material on the principles and practices of forensic science together with more specialist knowledge and delivery in the field of chemical criminalistics/trace evidence. In addition you will be expected to contribute to either research or consultancy in any relevant area of forensic science that compliments the Faculty's acivities.
The Faculty offers an extensive portfolio of research and innovation and has engaged in a recent period of growth embracing a £5 million refurbishment of chemical, bioscience and psychology laboratories and a state-of-the-art suite of sport science laboratories that form part of the new £30 million Sport Central City Campus investment.
