Job Summary
Cardno Geotech Solutions is a 25 person geotechnical engineering, environmental and construction materials testing firm based in Beresfield, Newcastle. Geotech Solutions has been in operation since 2007 and services the Newcastle, Hunter Valley, and Central Coast regions of New South Wales.
Due to continued growth Cardno is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Cardno Geotech Solutions Business Unit based in Newcastle. This position offers the suitable candidate the opportunity to join a team of renowned Engineers who have an exceptional reputation within the NSW and Hunter Regions.

This is a fantastic career opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to play an integral role in the overall management and running of the operations for the Newcastle Business Unit. With a strong focus on delivering a quality product to our clients you will be supported by a team of professional engineers and senior managers to enable you to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that company and client deadlines, commitments and expectations are managed appropriately in the given time frame and budget
- Conduct investigations, analysis, reporting, and design.
- Assist, lead and advise team members to collaboratively be involved in the design process
- Prepare tender administration, contractor documentation and client reports in order to liaise with other staff as well as local councils and other authorities
Other Requirements
- Minimum 10 years local experience in a diverse range of infrastructure projects
- Ability to conduct thorough design analysis and detailed reporting
- Demonstrated technical and leadership skills
- Client liaison and relationship management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability in analytical and problem solving skills in order to continue the delivery of high standard projects within our team
- Willingness to be flexible and undertake a range of roles and duties
