Global Communities is seeking a Deputy Chief of Party/Operations Manager (DCOP) candidate for an anticipated USAID-funded local governance and decentralization program in Haiti. The DCOP must have strong managerial, administrative, financial, and excellent writing skills.
Qualifications: •A graduate degree in a relevant social or administrative science, with at least seven years of experience with the administration of donor-funded programs; or an undergraduate degree in a relevant social or administrative science, with at least 10 years of experience with the administration of donor-funded programs. •Previous experience with decentralization or local government strengthening programs and previous experience in Haiti or countries with similar development challenges is preferred. •A minimum of three years of experience as a Deputy COP or higher in a donor-funded program. •Proven leadership and organizational skills, successfully managing and coordinating large and disparate work groups; •Demonstrated commitment to customer service. •Proven knowledge of management processes and systems, such as human resources management and development (including performance evaluation), financial management and management of employee compensation systems. •Ability to speak, read and write natively in English and fluently in French; ability to speak Creole is not required but highly desirable.
