Applications from individuals working in any area of pure mathematics are welcome. You will have the opportunity to teach pure mathematics at all levels (including honours) and supervise honours and postgraduate students. You will also carry out research and scholarly activities in pure mathematics as well as play an active role in the administration of the school.
Key requirements for this position include: a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant research area; demonstrated evidence of research ability and potential in pure mathematics; publications in highly ranked journals; potential to attract grant funding; evidence of ability, versatility and commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
The position is full-time fixed term for a period of two years, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees. Extension may be available subject to funding, need and performance.
