Do you want to play a key role in developing and delivering sustainability initiatives in this iconic city? Are you passionate about engaging the community and influencing behaviour change?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Education Officer to work within our proactive and supportive Sustainable Programs team. This position will be responsible for delivery of Council’s sustainability programs to build community resilience and reduce environmental impact.
In this role, you will assist Council to achieve community targets as set out in the Toward Zero Sustainable Environment Strategy. Using your passion for engaging the community and the need to address climate change, you will enable more effective local action. This position reports to the Coordinator, Sustainable Programs.
Experience in the delivery of programs that build community capacity is essential, with additional skills in community engagement highly valued. You will have qualifications in sustainability, environmental science or planning, environmental education, social science or similar.
This role is a job share position and will initially cover 3 days per week then it will reduce to 2 days per week.
