Financial Institution Training Specialist (Part Time) - Yemen ADEN

About the Job: 
MEDA is looking for a Financial Institution Training Specialist (Part Time) - Yemen ADEN. Under the supervision of managing director, s/he will facilitate the strengthening and development of the partner financial institutions (FIs) and the sector.
Tasks and Responsibilities: 
  • Collaborating and liaising with the key stakeholders in the financial services sector;
  • Identifying capacity and institutional building needs and designing, developing, conducting industry-level training programs;
  • Applying risk-based and customer-focused MEDA approaches to financial institution capacity building frameworks for effectively reaching MSMEs and women and youth entrepreneurs.
Qualifications: 
  • University degree, ideally a Masters, and ideally combining the disciplines of Business Administration, Social Entrepreneurship and Microfinance, Adult Education or other related discipline;
  • Proven track record of at least 7 years experience in training programs, adult education, institutional capacity building, and/or microfinance management;
  • Experience in providing technical assistance and training for financial institutions in Yemen;
  • Familiarity with bi- and multi-lateral government agencies, donors (particularly EC, DFID, USAID), non-governmental organizations and other development agencies working in Yemen's microfinance sector;
  • Excellent skills in communication, relationship building, intercultural engagement, networking and interpersonal communication, negotiation and leadership;
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing program;
  • Fluency in Arabic;
  • Flexibility to work part-time and based on the needs of ADEN's capacity building and training program workplan.
