Executive assistant to International director


The Executive Assistant to the International Director ensures the smooth running of the International Directorate, which includes the Director’s office, the Programme Impact and Learning Team and the HIV Team. A dynamic and versatile person is required to provide full cover while the substantial post holder is on maternity leave.
The role entails managing the smooth functioning of a Director’s office, providing executive, administrative and communications support to the Director and taking responsibility for effective communications and public relations liaison between the Director and all key contacts, both internal and external.
You will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent, have sound knowledge of Office programmes including MS Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel and have excellent knowledge of financial software, record keeping and budget monitoring. You will also need considerable relevant experience of secretarial/administrative support at a senior level, minute taking, report writing and budget monitoring. You will have the ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when managing relationships at a senior level; possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to negotiate and influence. You should have experience of diary management and travel plans and be able to initiate and manage projects within agreed guidelines.
