The Finance Branch provides assistance and support to CARE Australia managers in discharging their financial management responsibilities, financial information for strategic decision-making purposes and providing a transaction based processing unit. The Finance Branch is divided into two responsibility groups, being those responsible for National Office finance and accounting and those responsible for Country Offices finance and accounting. The teams must work closely together to ensure that financial information is provided efficiently and effectively.
The Finance Officer will be responsible for National Office related functions including assisting with payroll preparation and processing journal entries and account reconciliations relating to donations and other accounts, accounts payable, petty cash, transfers and banking.
