Duties and Responsibilities for IT Specialist Assistant position:
-Provide helpdesk support to the tenants of UN Common Premises and agencies/projects outside
-Advise on hardware and software requirements -Provide minor repairs/ fixes of hardware -Maintain office telecommunication equipment, assist in programming, if required -Perform simple LAN Administration tasks as requested -Assist in the process of procurement of computer and telecommunication equipment -Perform administration of e-mail accounts and e-mail groups -Carry out other tasks as required Impact of Results
The key results have an impact on the overall efficiency of the Country Office including improved business results and client services. Forward-looking ICT management has an impact on the organization of office management, knowledge sharing, and information provision.

Required Skills and Experience | |
Education: Secondary education with specialized certification in ICT
Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant work experience
Consideration may be given to applicants with 2 years of relevant work experience provided University degree in information technologies or relevant technical science.
Ability to operate and maintain network, computer, telecommunication and other office equipment.
Knowledge of computer hardware, TCP/IP networks and peripheral equipment, working knowledge of MS Windows 2003, 2000 Sever, MS Windows Vista, XP, Seven, MS Windows 2000 operation systems, MS Office 2010, 2007, 2003, 2000, E-mail technology (SMTP,POP,IMAP,LDAP), knowledge of MS Active Directory would be desirable. Language Requirements: Fluency in Russian. Working knowledge of English.
