Chemonics seeks a chief of party for the anticipated USAID-funded Supporting Improved Economic Governance project in Mexico. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, management, and technical direction
- Serve as key liaison with USAID, government counterpart, local partners, and other institutions
- Manage and supervise the work of the project personnel and subcontractors
- Ensure that all project assistance is technically sound and appropriate
- Oversee project work planning, performance, and long-term programmatic vision
Qualifications:
- Advance degree in a relevant field such as economics, public administration, or business required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the successful implementation of projects related to economic competitiveness, financial sector inclusion, competitiveness, policy development, and/or good governance
- Minimum four years of experience as chief of party or deputy chief of party
- Experience in mobilizing government agencies and other institutions at a national and subnational level
- Leadership in the administration of international development projects with skills in strategic planning, management, supervision, and budgeting
- Ability to communicate a common vision among diverse partners
- Experience in Mexico and knowledge of Mexico's political and economic environment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Mexico's business enabling environment, policies, laws, and institutions
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish required
