The University intends to elect a Professor of Economics. This post offers the successful candidate the exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the study of Economics and to provide academic leadership in his or her specialist field of interest. It is expected that the successful candidate will benefit from Oxford's international renown as a base for his or her own research activities.
The successful applicant will have an outstanding research and publication record in one or more particular fields of economic enquiry. The extent to which candidates' particular field(s) of economic enquiry contribute to the balance of teaching and research activity in the department will be a consideration.
