Description:
The Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer is a key technical contributor who identifies solutions that are clearly relevant to client needs and that impact Schlumberger business. Responsibilities include assisting with introduction of new technologies and answer products. Working in the arena of reservoir engineering but with a good understanding of other technical domains, a Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer understands the interaction and overlap with other disciplines on multiple client projects. This position requires worldwide mobility with no restrictions.
Successful Reservoir Simulation Engineers have strong teamwork, presentation, and people skills. They enjoy working face to face with clients and have the adaptability required to perform in a consulting services environment.
Responsibilities:- Build simulation models for field performance and fluid behavior to predict reservoir performance and then validate the model with actual reservoir data.
- Upscale geologic models for dynamic fluid flow analysis using a numerical simulator.
- Estimate the potential of a reservoir in order to determine fluid flow.
- Create and enhance reservoir models that simulate fluid flow, phase behavior, and reservoir physical properties.
- Analyze fluid properties to predict fluid behavior and estimate its impact on production characteristics.
- Investigate enhanced oil recovery options.
- Construct field development plans to optimize reservoir production.
- Understand reservoir economics and make technical and fiscal recommendations.
- Mentor the technical community, exploration geoscientists and technicians assigned to a common project.
- Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in reservoir simulation.
- Hands-on experience in black oil, compositional, and thermal simulation.
- Proficiency in applications such as ECLIPSE, ECLIPSE PVTi, and OFM, and Petrel software.
