The Data Processing Supervisor is responsible for the total management of seismic data processing projects, including supervision of data processing personnel, maximization of production quality and quantity, and minimization of turnaround time.
Responsibilities:- Ensure work is performed in compliance with QA procedures, QHSE requirements, and work practices.
- Direct and be responsible for all activities of assigned data processing groups.
- Ensure projects are completed to satisfaction of client and Data Processing management.
- Develop and maintain good client relations.
- Work with other groups to ensure geophysical integrity and consistency of all output.
- Seek out and implement ways to improve production methods and efficiency; recommend potential technical and marketing opportunities to management.
- Produce resource requirements, financial reports, and status reports for projects.
- Generate information to produce invoices for assigned projects.
- Keep abreast of industrywide seismic processing methods and all company geophysical software.
- Help commercialize new products as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in seismic data processing, with minimum of 2 years as a Data Processing group leader and 3 years of hands-on depth imaging.
- Strong grasp of geophysical and geological principles.
- Good interpersonal, technical, communication, supervisory, and administrative skills.
