Consulting - Senior Reservoir Petrophysicist


Description:
The Senior Reservoir Petrophysicist combines a knowledge of well logging technology with an understanding of oil and gas geology to determine the hydrocarbon production capacity, lithology, and fluid saturations of a reservoir. This position requires worldwide mobility with no restrictions.
Successful Senior Reservoir Petrophysicists have strong teamwork, presentation, and people skills. They enjoy working face to face with clients and have the adaptability required to perform in a consulting services environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform all tasks related to multiwell reservoir petrophysics.
  • Analyze well log measurements and input them to a representative multiwell-reservoir petrophysical model.
  • Work with the team and client to translate petrophysical interpretation into a representative geologic model.
  • Prepare and review monthly reports.
  • Liaise with operations staff and update models.
  • Propose drilling locations and assist in field development planning.
  • Mentor the technical community, exploration geoscientists, and technicians assigned to a common project.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, geology, or petrophysics; relevant experience may compensate for some education.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as petrophysicist, including hands-on log analysis for multiwell, fieldwide reservoir petrophysics.
  • Strong background in carbonate petrophysics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire confidence.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Hands-on experience with Petrel software.
