Depth Imaging Project Leader Location: All Locations


Description:
The Depth Imaging Project Leader manages and administers seismic data processing projects to maximize production quantity and efficiency, thus minimizing turnaround time and optimizing product quality.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain good client relations and ensure group processing meets client and company specifications with regard to data quality and schedule.
  • Ensure accuracy of all testing and clear presentation of results, with improvement recommendations where appropriate.
  • Produce accurate forecasts and reports of project finances, status, and resource requirements.
  • In collaboration with area geophysicists, design efficient processing sequences and testing flows that comply with all service quality initiatives and best practices.
  • Manage and be accountable for all group activities and personnel movements.
  • Liaise with technical support groups involved in project to ensure quality and schedules are maintained.
  • Ensure the smooth daily running of the project.
  • Keep abreast of developments in seismic data processing, communication, and data transfer techniques with company geophysical software.
  • Provide training opportunities and assist staff with on-the-job training.
  • Mentor less experienced project leaders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in geophysics, geology, physics, mathematics, or similar scientific qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in seismic data processing, including minimum 3 years in depth imaging.
  • Strong grasp of geophysical and geological principles, signal processing, demultiple imaging, etc.
  • Experience with QC of large volumes of seismic data, 3D visualization, attributes, and analysis.
  • Experience in depth imaging and project management.
