Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join a research group led by Dr John Frater, in the Nuffield Department of Medicine, Peter Medawar Building, University of Oxford.  You will be involved in research conducted within the framework of CHERUB (http://www.cherub.uk.net), a UK-wide network dedicated to the development of biological assays to monitor and assess viral eradication, clinical trials of new anti-latency agents and laboratory platforms to assess antigenicity of the reservoir. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with the cutting edge of clinical and laboratory work in the field of HIV eradication.
You will be an enthusiastic and organised scientist, capable of independent work as well as working in close collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team. It is essential that you will have a PhD in Molecular Biology or Virology and have experience with qPCR platforms.  Desirable attributes would be experience within HIV research and expertise in cell culture work. 
The position is available for three years and is funded as part of the Oxford Martin School project "Curing Chronic Viral Infections".
