Under general supervision and within a multi-cultural environment, works as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical professionals to translate business requirements into comprehensive and innovative system designs. The primary responsibilities of a Business Analyst are to design business information systems and incorporate new technical systems to improve company efficiency and effectiveness. As an advocate for the customer, Business Analyst ensures that systems meet needs of customers by creating designs that fit, monitoring development, and testing the results. Documents existing business processes and participates in process improvement projects. This requires a strong knowledge of the applicable business process and applications. Supports customer by assisting with development of business cases and presentations for process and/or system changes as needed. Develops end user training and works to ensure that users understand and follow established processes and procedures. Develops use cases and acceptance criteria and monitors testing progress to ensure that applications are fully tested prior to deployment. Coordinates global testing efforts with end users to resolve problems, gather feedback, and ensure that business can be conducted as usual in the or changed system. Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined. Position may require availability outside of normal working hours and beyond a normal work week of 40 hours. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a Business related field and 4+ years of experience in a related field or 6+ years of related experience.
