Lecturer/Researcher College of Public Administration


The College of Public Administration consists of 4 departments: Land Resource Management, Resources Environment & Urban-rural Planning, Public Administration, and Human Resources & Social Security. It offers 5 bachelor programs, 6 master programs, 4 doctoral programs, as well as one MPA program. Current enrolments stand at over 1,000 undergraduate and 680 postgraduate. There are about 80 faculty in the College.
Formerly named as Land Management College established in 1992, it was the first provider of doctoral education in Land Resource Management and housed the first Public Administration Postdoctoral Research Station in China. The Land Resource Management is rated as the National Key Discipline, and Public Administration as Provincial Key Discipline of Jiangsu.
The College is recruiting one faculty specialised in Land Resource Management, one in Population, Resources and Environment Economics, three in Public Administration, two in Social Security, and two in Educational Economics and Administration.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Lecturing key subjects in the university during the period of employment.
  • Conducting research in areas of specialty.
  • A consecutive 5-year first employment contract signed.
  • A PhD degree from an internationally-renowned university. A PhD degree from renowned overseas universities is a must for applicants in Land Resource Management and Population, Resources and Environment Economics.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary
A salary of 80,000 RMB per year (housing fund and allowance included) will be offered to PhD degree holders to fill lecturer positions.
  • Accommodation
PhD degree holders will be provided with an apartment.
A monthly rental allowance of 1,500 RMB will be offered, before the apartment is available for occupancy.
A monthly rental allowance of 2,000 RMB will be offered to PhD degree holders from world-renowned universities and research institutes overseas or awardees of “Dissertations of National Excellence” in China.
  • Special support
Outstanding new faculty will be supported by the “Zhongshan Early-career Researcher” Program and enjoy an additional yearly bonus of 30,000 RMB as well as other preferential policies for the duration of the program.
