Position Summary
The scope of the position is to manage Flow Assurance, Integrity Commissioning and Subsea Project Engineering activities during the Concept, and FEED phases for phase 9b and other related BGE ventures, and to provide support to projects that have been handed across to the JV during the back end of FEED, detailed design, construction and offshore installation commissioning and operation phases.
Key Accountabilities
·       Lead the assessment and resolution of all flow assurance and integrity related issues, compiling with the requirements of the BG way, delivering acceptable technical solutions to the PMT by discussing and gaining agreement on technical issues with stakeholders, both internal and external to the JV.
·       Ensure there is a system in place that identifies all key risks to the integrity of the existing and planned subsea system, that the risks are properly assessed and that where necessary operation inspection programmers are directed to quantify the impact of these risk on the system, where facility’s or system are inadequate I am responsible   framing and securing corrective action as required. I am responsible for at the end of the day for demonstrating the health of the subsea gathering system.
·       Provide technical support on various venture and project issues to the Development Engineers and the Development manager to enable the timely close out of technical issues relating to flow assurance, integrity, shut-downs and start-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
·       Provide flow assurance and risk assessment excellence to the development team with regards the operation, shut-down and start-up of the new subsea infrastructure and where it ties into existing system.
·       Focal point for leading and managing the Sub-contractors HAZID, ENVID and coarse Hazop and ensuring formal closeout of identified actions and ensuring those outcomes are aligned with project objectives.
·       Deliver clear operational envelopes for new and existing subsea facility and ensure that these are effectively integrated into existing Operating procedures subsea facilities tie into existing plant.
·       Ensure effective management systems are implemented in order to identify project risks, develop and implement risk response action plans for the top risks.
·       Lead in correlating, process and management of corrective action plans relating to lessons learnt in the BGE development team.
·       Influence best contractor performance, particularly HSE. Monitor contractor and supplier performance and act quickly on underperformance.
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
·         Experience on Flow Assurance and Integrity offshore projects.
·         Extensive experience with subsea infrastructure, and have been involved in a number of key subsea projects.
·         Supervise and develop Flow Assurance capability within the company.
·         Interfacing with process engineering, subsea engineering, mechanical, controls, instrumentation operations engineers and flow assurance contractors to support the delivery of technical studies and reports.
·         Education Member of IChemE, preferably chartered or equivalent.
·         Resilient, motivated self starter possessing a high level of political and cultural sensitivity who is able to operate and deliver effectively in ‘tough environments’.
·         Good team player, who can work successfully in multi cultural environments, can work on his own or with groups of people.
·         Lead projects and capable of leading workshops and meetings.
·         Be the lead for a number of years in flow assurance and process engineering, tackling all aspects of Flow Assurance engineering, onshore or offshore.
