SUMMARY
The HR Standards Coordinator shall assist the Director, HR Standards in administratively supporting all taskforces and subgroups operating in accordance with the Procedures for Developing American National Standards (PDANS). The Coordinator shall also administratively support all projects and product lines in accordance with established strategies, operating plans and guidelines to include preparing correspondence, creating and maintaining databases, maintaining the HR Standards sections of SHRM online, preparing and maintaining invoicing records, coordinating the budget, and coordinating travel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the organizational and logistic support of the Taskforces, the US TAG, the ISO Technical Committee 260 (TC 260)and subgroups in accordance with the Procedures for the Development of American National Standards (PDANS), the most current ANSI Essential Requirements and ISO Directives;
  • Oversee compliance with these procedures, including ANSI and ISO review as necessary;
  • Maintain documents that have been accredited in accordance with the PDANS, the most current ANSI Essential Requirements and ISO Directives;
  • Maintain rosters of all Taskforces, Workgroups, Committees, the US Technical Advisory Group (US TAG) and Discovery Teams and a list of standards for which they are responsible; maintain standards databases for standards volunteers;
  • Submit candidate standards approved by the Taskforces with supporting documentation to ANSI for review and approval as American National and ISO Standards;
  • Ensure adherence to periodic maintenance of standards;
  • Maintain all records pertaining to the Taskforces, Committees, the US TAG and Workgroups in accordance with the PDANS, the most current ANSI Essential Requirements and ISO Directives;
  • Provide administrative support and secretarial services as necessary, for the Taskforces and Workgroups, including arranging for meetings, and preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, minutes, ballots, and draft standards;
  • Submit approved standards and approved revisions and addenda for publication;
  • Prepare all correspondence, maintain files and prepare reports and documents to support standards activities as needed or directed;
  • Coordinate the revision process for current American National and ISO standards;
  • Update and maintain SHRM online for HR Standards in thehttp://www.shrm.org/hrstandards/pages;
  • Coordinate preparations for all conferences and meetings at which SHRM Standards exhibits or speaks
  • Plan for, coordinate and oversee any audits or pre-audits that are necessary to stay compliant with the most current ANSI Essential Requirements and ISO Directives;
  • Register copyrights of new content developed in HR Standards;
  • Coordinate with the Graphic Design department and other groups to establish the finished hard copy of any draft standard that has received a publication date by ANSI;
  • Manage the department budget and all related accounting duties;
  • Coordinate travel plans for staff members in the department;
  • Prepare and distribute communications and maintain records related to invoicing for the US TAG annual administrative fee in accordance with the process and timeline established by the US TAG administrator;
  • Serve as point of contact for the KAVI system for volunteers involved in standards development; and,
  • Perform other functions as required by the PDANS or other duties assigned by the director.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Management or related fieldPREFERENCES:
  • PHR or CPS certification
  • Conversant in HR subject matter
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • (5+) years of experience in administrative services, project administration or standards administration.
  • Experience with standards or policy development preferred.
  • Panel or committee support experience preferred.
  • Comfortable communicating to and supporting virtual teams.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires lifting of less than 0-10 pounds. Traveling 0-25%.WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office. High use of phone and computers. Significant note taking and documentation of meeting activities.
