International Medical Corps UK is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs.
Established in 2002, International Medical Corps UK has as its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. This is achieved by offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.
Job Purpose: The position will be responsible for preparing periodical financial reports for both internal and external audiences. This will include analysis and interpretation of financial data for the purposes of assisting management in various decision making activities. The position reports to the Director of Finance. Duties and Responsibilities: • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management financial reports including the analysis of relevant information • Create and design ad hoc financial reports to meet specific management needs as and when required. • Active participation in the Annual Budget process. • Active role in the Statutory Audit process • Increase the financial awareness of other staff members on financial matters concerning specific and general areas of work. • Assist in the interpretation and training of donor polices and guidelines which impact the organisations work practices. • Tracking of UK grant funds as well as updating of relevant information to programme staff. • Participate in and make regular contributions to “global” meetings in areas of finance and administration between the various HQ offices. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
• A degree in Accounting and/or a recognised accounting qualification • At least 4 years experience working in an accounting department • Knowledge of SUN accounting systems. (The organization is switching to Cost Point, more integrated organisational ERP software). • Fast learner, organised and excellent attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications • Good communication and relational skills • Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and perform with minimum supervision. • Knowledge of fund accounting
Desirable: • Experience gained working in an International Not for Profit setting • Knowledge of the Charity Commission requirements for UK NGOs. • Knowledge of other UK regulatory bodies for UK organisations

Salary - £26,500 p.a
