About the Division
BPS helps clients with unique, changing and / or mission critical business processes and application management requirements. We deliver maximum competitive advantage through the provision of the highest quality co-sourcing and/or outsourcing solutions.
Our services provide industry-specific and niche sourcing solutions. Our offerings focus on:
- Financial and Accounting Services - Private Sector: Tailor-made, flexible solutions for the more complex administrative and financial processes of our private sector clients;
- Financial and Accounting Services - Public Sector: Leverages our deep practical understanding of public sector finance to lower risks and increase efficiency;

About the Job
This position is responsible for the payroll systems. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client service, including recordkeeping and reporting. This position provides accounting and project management support to Finance.
- Responsible for all aspects of payroll administration, including preparation, documentation and disbursement of all payroll cheques / transfers
- Responsible for the reconciliation and payment of third party payments
- Liaising with third parties
- Responsible for general administration, payroll month end and tax year end administration
- Handling administration and payroll queries
- Responsible for client satisfaction and client retention
- Responsible for ensuring all outstanding debtors in respect of payroll portfolio are collected
- Initiative and ability to work independently
Team Interaction and Growth:
- Plays an integral part in the success of the holistic Payroll Team by active engagement in training opportunities as well as continuous personal development
- Contributes to the open flow of communication within the Payroll Team, ensuring that there is continual team progression as well as healthy conflict resolution
About You
We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications
- Matric
- VIP Certification experience
You would need to have the following Experience and Technical Competencies:
- Have an in depth understanding of employee taxation
- Ability to resolve tax queries on payslip
- Has experience in processing Share Scheme payrolls.
- VIP payroll software experience
- Payspace payroll software experience will be advantages
- Experience in running payrolls in other African countries other than South Africa will be advantages
- Microsoft Word and Excel advanced experience
