Description:
Responsible for; 1) providing the technical support during the both pre- and post-sales processes, 2) playing as a team member collaborating with local and central applications, sales and service teams in the bio process industry/product segment, in order to maximize both customer satisfaction and our business growth. The geographic region to cover is CIAPAC (China, India and Asia-Pacific) region. Responsible for providing the required demo, installation and customer service support on sales objectives for their geography. Previous technical support experiences required. The position reports to Asia Technical and Applications Sales Manager, Bio Process.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

- Provide technical leadership during sales process by demonstrating full range of product features including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers

- Develop and deliver product training to customers on equipment use, monitor customer installations of BioProcess equipment within assigned territory/region to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships

- Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and customer training

- Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer service strategies

- Communicate with Sales and Application Leaders to align applications activities with sales needs and business objectives

- Communicate with local Applications Specialists and Account Managers to ensure all customer and business needs are met

- Energize team and maintain adherence of field processes

- Sharing knowledge and perform training of local Applications Specialists as well as team members.

Required Qualifications:

- Required well understanding of downstream purification for biological production with B.S. or higher in bio-technology or related field.

- Must have expertise in several of the following key areas;
o Large scale protein purification for biologics or equivalent
o Work/product support experiences under regulatory environment
o Experiences in chromatography and filtration system for production
o Large scale chromatography column packing
o Large scale cell culture
o Work/support experience bio-pharmaceutical organization
o Statistical Analysis

- At least one of the following core experiences: Minimum of 5 years technical support experience in specific required areas or at least 3 years commercial applications experience with demonstrated successes in high level customer interactions and sales scenarios

- Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Office products

- Willingness to travel 50% within your specified geographic region with occasional overnight stays depending on geography and business needs as well as to sales meetings and tradeshows

- Demonstrated successful experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process

- Ability to communicate effectively using English, and another local language in CIAPAC is desired

Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong presentation skills (public speaking and lecture experience desired)

- Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills (ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to external customers, global counterparts and to team members in other functional organizations)

- Solid problem solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers)

- Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)

- Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve

- Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time

- Willingness to be flexible/adapt to changing work environments

- Experience on current large scale purification products

Lecturer in Pure Mathematics The University of Sydney

You will have the opportunity to teach pure mathematics at all levels (including honours) and supervise honours and postgraduate students. You will also carry out research and scholarly activities in pure mathematics as well as play an active role in the administration of the school.
Key requirements for this position include: a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant research area; demonstrated evidence of research ability and potential in pure mathematics; publications in highly ranked journals; potential to attract grant funding; evidence of ability, versatility and commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
The position is full-time fixed term for a period of two years, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Job Description:
RedR Australia is a not-for-profit organisation which selects, trains and deploys technical experts for international disaster relief work.  We are a leading provider of humanitarian training in the region with RedR Australia field placements in mind, and for anyone preparing to work in overseas aid. 
We offer a diverse range of courses from the essentials of humanitarian practice through to technical courses tailored to the needs of clients.
We are seeking applicants with proven skills in people management and training preparation and delivery.  We need extensive practical experience in humanitarian assistance and emergency work.  Experience in curriculum design and development, and knowledge of sector areas, for example, emergency management, water and sanitation, health, food aid, nutrition, logistics or site planning will be highly regarded, as will knowledge and an understanding of the Australian aid sector.  Well developed skills in computer programs including word processing, PowerPoint, and Excel are also required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

1.    Service Delivery
Work with other members of RedR Australia staff to achieve RedR’s overall goals and specifically:
a.    Assist in design and delivery of the Training Programme in Australia, Asia and Pacific Regions for RedR and RedR’s strategic partners: UNHCR eCentre, UNICEF, OCHA,WFP, AusAID;
b.    Contribute to the curriculum development with a specialization in a range of areas (based on previous experience) including Introduction to Humanitarian action; technical areas such as Water, Hygiene & Sanitation, Health, Food, Nutrition, Shelter and Site planning; Logistics; contextual frameworks including SPHERE standards, International Law, Protection; Human Resources; and Training of Trainers;
c.    Take a sectoral lead as approved or agreed with the Manager, Training Service and act as focal point for RedR;

2.    Liaison
In agreement with and as delegated by the Manager, Training Service:
a.    Represent RedR Training Service in discussions within RedR Australia.
b.    Represent RedR generally in discussions with third parties, recipients of customised training and potential recipients, with objective of enhancement and growth of relationships.

3.    Planning, monitoring and reporting
a.    Contribute to the development of the Training Service Operational Plan.
b.    Prepare timely reports on completion of courses, reviewing course evaluations and providing feedback to the Training Service Manager, (when the particular course is being led by the Senior Humanitarian Trainer).

4.    Financial Management
a.    Contribute to initial budget calculations in preparation of quotes to interested parties, using previous like-type courses as a guide.
b.    Operate under sound financial arrangements, giving timely documentation to Finance Service.
 
Preferred Skills:
SELECTION CRITERIA
1    Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or experience with Training Qualifications to Cert IV or Training of Trainers;
2    Experience working in the field of humanitarian assistance (specifically Emergencies) with sector knowledge such as Emergencies Management, Coordination, Protection, Water, Hygiene & Sanitation, Health, Food Aid, Nutrition, Logistics, Site planning;
3    Knowledge of both International and Australian Humanitarian and Development agencies;
4    High order training delivery skills (design, curriculum development, and training of trainers skill);
5    High order people management skills including communication and networking skills;
6    Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment with minimal supervision;
7    Proven experience in a conceptual & analytical thinking;
8    A commitment to the mission of RedR;
9    Well developed computer skills using MS Office package (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and financial tracking) to be self-sufficient at producing reports, spreadsheets and presentations;
10  Experience working with UN agencies such as UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP or UNOCHA would be well regarded;
11  Position demands frequent and regular travel for Training purposes domestically and internationally and for extensive periods (10 day blocks).

Job Description:
RedR Australia has an exciting opportunity for a talented and suitably qualified professional to work within the Finance and Administration Service.  This is a full-time 12-month maternity leave position at this time, based in Melbourne.

RedR Australia is a not-for-profit organisation which recruits, selects, trains, deploys and supports capable Australians deployed to international humanitarian relief operations.  RedR Australia has people deployed to Afghanistan, DRC, Liberia, Tunisia, Egypt, Pakistan, Vanuatu, Fiji, Sudan, Namibia, Kenya, Ethiopia and Haiti.  This list will grow.  We have well-established partnerships with United Nations agencies UNHRC, WFP, UNICEF and OCHA, and we work with other humanitarian organisations.

RedR is seeking applicants with technical experience and proven skills in liaising within a small finance team.  A good working knowledge of accounting practices is required, including payroll, budgeting, costing, reporting and related tax compliance.

The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and is expected to “hit the ground running”.  An excellent communicator, with strong analytical skills, you will have the ability to assess information, suggest recommendations, and coordinate staff to ensure the operational goals of the organization are achieved.
