Program Officer - Tunisia Freedom House

Position Summary
The Program Officer will work on transitional justice and rule of law in Tunisia. He/she will perform responsibilities necessary to the day-to-day administration of Freedom House’s Tunisia office and provide programmatic, financial and administrative support for the accomplishment of program objectives. This position is based in Tunis, Tunisia and will report to the Project Director.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, law, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in Arabic and/or French
  • Minimum 4 – 6 years of directly related experience
  • Minimum 2 – 4 years of experience with rule of law and transitional justice initiatives

Some Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to development of program strategy and assist in the implementation of overall strategy and vision
  • Monitor implementation of project activities
  • Develop effective relationships with partner organizations, assist them in increasing their capacity to meet objectives and more effectively implement their own programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the donor and diplomatic community, partners and grantees, policy community, other NGOs and think tanks, as directed by supervisor
  • Provide technical assistance and trainings as required
  • Prepare program quarterly, final, and ad-hoc reports for authorized internal and external audiences
  • Provide regular updates on project activities

Monitoring, Evaluation (M&E) and Research Advisor Location: Nigeria

We are recruiting for a Monitoring, Evaluation (M&E) and Research Advisor for an anticipated USAID funded civil society strengthening program in Nigeria. The program will strengthen civil society’s ability to influence the development and implementation of key democratic reforms at the national, state, and local levels and will work with the Government of Nigeria, USAID, civil society organizations (CSOs) and other local organizations and other donor agencies. The Monitoring, Evaluation (M&E) and Research Advisor will be responsible for all monitoring and evaluation activities of the project. S/he will establish significant long term goals and outcomes for prevention efforts in Nigeria, ensuring the utilization of sound, national monitoring and evaluation indicators and tools for consistency in measurement. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of project specific Performance Monitoring Plans and M&E plans;
  • Responsible for the development of relevant M&E tools as well as technical training;

Qualifications

Knowledge Manager Location: South Africa

Futures Group Sexual HIV Prevention Programme (SHIPP) is seeking a Knowledge Manager. The main function of the knowledge sharing position is to help champion organization-wide knowledge sharing, so that the organization's know-how, information and experience is shared inside and (as appropriate) outside the organization with clients, partners, and stakeholders. The Knowledge Manager will develop and execute the application of policies, processes and technologies to ensure that information is systematically produced, organized and made accessible to the people who need it. This position will be based in Pretoria South Africa and Futures Group is seeking candidates that are currently residing in South Africa and eligible to work in the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the project’s knowledge management strategy,

Futures Group Policy Analyst in Jordan

The Health Policy Project (HPP), implemented by Futures Group International and its partners and funded byUSAID, is a five-year project which has a primary emphasis on supporting national-level awareness raising, resource mobilization, and policy reform to improve quality and expand access to Family Planning/Reproductive Health (FP/RH) services in Jordan. HPP supports the Higher Population Council (HPC), Ministry of Health (MOH), and other key stakeholders to create an enabling environment for FP/RH through improved multi-sectoral engagement and coordination, data use, and policy reform.

HPP is seeking to hire a full time Policy Analyst to work with HPC, MOH and other relevant stakeholders to identify and address FP/RH policy barriers affecting the expansion and improvement of FP/RH program and provide ongoing analytical and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the process of policy development, implementation, operation and track policy implementation on a regular basis to improve quality of FP/RH services
  • Work with HPC, MOH and other stakeholders to translate FP/RH related policies into actions

Team Leader India

Futures Group invites applications from qualified candidates for the position Team Leader for Institutional and Technical Support Project. The Team Leader is responsible to Futures Group India and in turn to EC India for the Academic, Technical and Managerial Leadership of the project, ensuring that it delivers its objectives to high standards, on time and on budget.

The Team Leader will have overall programmatic, management and financial responsibility for the project. Working closely with and managing the project personnel of technical experts and administrative professionals, he will ensure that project objectives, outcomes and deliverables are met and that financial, operational and reporting requirements of Futures Group and of EC India are adhered to in full. Key Responsibilities

  1. Representation and Liaison
  • Representation and promotion of the project and the project team, as the Futures Group Team Leader;

Team Leader Zimbabwe

Position Summary

We are looking for an outstanding and experienced Team Leader for a potential DFID-funded Programme on Community Accountability for Maternal and Child Health in Zimbabwe. Working closely with and managing a core staff of technical and administrative programme experts, s/he will ensure that project objectives, outcomes, and deliverables are met and that financial, operational, and reporting requirements of the donor are adhered to. This is a full-time position for 3 years based in Zimbabwe, contingent upon a successful award.

Position Summary

The Contracts & Grants Administrator is responsible for development, negotiation/review, and records management for various contractual agreements. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate new funding agreements, and assure compliance with agreements to include but not limited to: Contracts, Grants, Cooperative Agreements, and Task Orders.Support generally covers the full agreement life-cycle – program award through close-out.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 to 10 years’ experience in government contracting, including support to or working with at least one of the following organizations: US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, US Agency for International Development. UK Dept. for International Development and European Union Development Programs and other Foundations is a plus.
  • Practical certifications and demonstrated training desirable (e.g. CFCM, NCMA, InsideNGO)

We are recruiting for a Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated USAID funded civil society strengthening program in Nigeria.
