Duties & ResponsibilitiesNature and Scope of Position:
  • Carries out complex or novel research assignments to develop new or refined materials, processes, products, and/or scientific methods and approaches.
  • Performs research activities including sample preparation, data acquisition and interpretation, findings / recommendations/ reporting / publishing; etc.
  • Reviews schedules, cost and documentation to ensure success of projects.
  • Makes substantial contributions to determining feasibility of goals and objectives.
  • Develops technical proposals and makes presentations to potential customers/grant sponsors.
  • Identifies problems and related technical issues leading to long-term, generic solutions; identifies technical approach for solving problems and meeting customer/grantor needs.
  • Sought out for contributions to reports and publications; author/co-author on papers, proposals, presentations and reports; gives invited papers.
  • Organizes and chairs sessions at technical meetings.
  • Interacts in a collaborative manner with other team members to accomplish organizational goals; provides ideas to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Maintains external research relationships to identify and develop new funding sources.
  • Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed tests, products and equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable.
  • Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods, and represents the project in conferences to resolve important questions, and to plan and coordinate work.
  • Acts as a technical lead or consultant on various projects; leads the development of intellectual property.
  • Conducts trainings/workshops/ seminars related to own scientific / research field, for educational purposes.
  • Develops research objectives and proposals for own or joint research, with the assistance of a mentor if required.
  • Provides technical advice related to the procurement of scientific / research equipment / supplies.
  • Contributes to positive co-worker/customer/investigator relationships through efficient interaction on current grants/projects.
  • Mentors junior staff in development of technical, project and business development skills.
  • Performs other related tasks as necessary.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information at all times.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D in Science/Engineering, related to Materials studies;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the related field;
  • Proficiency in written and spoken communication in Arabic and English Languages;
  • Computer proficiency in standard packages (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet use).

We are looking for Food & Beverage Trainer who shares our passion in skill & knowledge development with Food & Beverage operations team. The Food & Beverage Trainer establish service standards and procedures for F&B outlets and ensure they are achieved with proper training, supervision and control. He/She also train new joiners with full broad F&B knowledge & skill in preparing them to delivery excellent guest experience. The Food & Beverage Trainer essentially re-train existing employees to maintain with required service standards.

REQUIREMENTS

 
  • Minimum 2 year experience Food & Beverage management or a similar capacity

Editorial Assistant Opportunities


Stability: International Journal of Security & Development(www.stabilityjournal.org) presents cutting-edge research with minimal delay and in a manner accessible to policymakers and practitioners. The journal features research into those interventions, including stabilisation, development assistance, governance, crime reduction and humanitarian aid, which aim to end conflicts, prevent conflict recurrence and foster peace. Stability welcomes articles from a range of disciplines, including political science, development studies, international relations, sociology, criminology, anthropology, psychology and the law, among others.
The Role of Editorial Assistants
Editorial Assistants support the journal’s operations by helping disseminate our call for papers, facilitating rapid peer-review processes, copy-editing accepted articles, communicating with particular contributors and disseminating content among researchers, policymakers and practitioners. They are not paid or compensated, though they do gain excellent experiencing related to publish and access to the most recent research on issues such as conflict, crime, violence and development or humanitarian assistance delivery in fragile settings -- in addition to professional references as they continue on their career paths.
Editorial Assistants should be willing to commit 10 hours per week to Stability. They will be based from their home locations and will primarily receive training and instructions via e-mail and Skype.
**Qualifications*
The typical Editorial Assistant will be a Master’s or doctoral student or an early-career practitioner who has an interest in Stability’s key themes and who supports its open-access approach to publishing. They should also be fluent in English and have very strong writing and editing skills. Fluency in English is crucial given that this role involves a significant amount of editing academic writing.
