Account Manager, Pharma Industry Thomson Reuters Latam - Argentina


As an Account Manager for Pharma Industry you will engage with a wide range client disciplines within your accounts and you will need to develop a thorough understanding of their structure, business and scientific needs, their plans and requirements.  You will form professional relationships with senior and director level business contacts as well as senior scientific personnel to drive new revenue by developing and delivering new sales opportunities. Key to this role is to maintain on-going revenues through close involvement with your named Accounts, ensuring the maximum level of annual renewals within your territory.

You will be competent with solution selling and show a high level of professionalism to both clients and colleagues.  Having developed a strong knowledge and understanding of our product and services portfolio you will then align this understanding to the needs and pains of our target customers.  A strong communicator to both senior management and scientific end users in addition to the ability to clearly articulate in depth understanding of our Product, Platform and Solution capabilities will be essential for this role.

The post holder must be prepared to spend at least 50% of their time visiting clients.
Duties and responsibilities:

  1. To achieve/exceed territory revenue plan.
  2. To maintain existing subscriber base through renewals and to grow revenues from within existing accounts.
  3. To prepare an account plan for each organisation which includes an organisation profile, an analysis of revenues, relationship profiles for contacts, SWOT analysis, use of services, strategy for growth, objectives and implementation schedule of Total Account Management.
  4. Take responsibility for creating and updating account profiles in Salesforce.com
  5. Devise overall strategy for each assigned account, with the help of the Sales Director and other support functions (Strategic Marketing, Product Management, CST, etc.)
  6. Develop, adapt and ultimately own the sales strategy for each account.
  7. To acquire detailed in-depth knowledge of Thomson Reuters IP & Sciences products and to keep that knowledge up-to-date.
  8. To report back from customer training sessions; recording customer feedback, gathering customer intelligence and actioning follow-up as required.
  1. To maintain and update sales progress reports and other administrative reporting mechanisms according to agreed timeframes.
  1. To liaise effectively with internal departments (Product Development, Sales Support and Marketing Department) to maximise sales opportunities and to keep up to date with existing and new Life Sciences services and marketing/sales campaigns.

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications:

Degree (BA level) or equivalent, in one of the following areas: Medicine, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Life Science related discipline or Business Administration with strong knowledge and experience in Life Science.

Languages:

Financial Operations Sr. Manager Thomson Reuters - Argentina


This position is responsible to drive efficient financial processes, and design and monitor internal controls, recommend and implement financial policies, and manage working capital, statutory financial statements and tax reporting.  This position will execute responsibilities leveraging our shared service centers, where communication & influencing skills are highly desirable.  Experience in dealing with Shared Service Centers is highly valuable as this position will be the primary liaison into Thomson Reuters Financial Operations structural backbone.

This position will also be a focal point of contact for Regional and Corp Accounting, Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable, Billing, Order Entry, Master Data, Tax, Payroll, and all financial administration & logistics processes. 

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive the Order-To-Cash process (order entry, billing & collection), ensuring efficient and results oriented processes.  Guarantee synchronization with sales teams on best practices
  • Lead the migration of financial operations tasks to Thomson Reuters service centers and build communication and control mechanisms to ensure the operation runs smoothly
  • Participate in the development and deployment of new financial systems
  • Be the key local contact for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations performed in our shared service center collaborating in process improvement and issue resolution initiatives
  • Assist the Finance Director in ensuring reasonableness of statutory and managerial financial statements, with a particular focus on the balance sheet

IFC in Latin America is now seeking to recruit a Team Assistant (TA) to be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Duties and Accountabilities:
The TA will be responsible for the full range of office support work, including managing processes and monitoring schedules related to their Team’s products and tasks. The TA initially will work under close supervision and guidance. The TA will coordinate extensively with IFC staff and liaise frequently with team members both at Headquarters and in the Country Offices, as well as with external counterparts. The TA may also be assigned responsibility for some aspect of the Peru Office administrative functions. The TA will work regularly and substantially in English and Spanish, including translating/drafting a variety of standard documents, applying effective proofreading and grammar skills in both languages.

Main duties will include but not be restricted to:

Summary of Major Job Accountabilities

• Coordinate and plan travel missions for staff, including hotel, flight, etc.

• Word processing - drafting, editing and finalizing routine correspondence, memos, letters, faxes and various reports and documents.

• Coordinates schedules taking priorities into account, monitors changes and communicates the information to appropriate staff/ parties.

• Receiving and placing phone calls and taking accurate messages.

• Solves non-routine problems (e.g. responds to request requiring files search, etc.) and routing incoming inquiries to the appropriate parties.

• Assists in preparation and logistical planning for various events, e.g. meetings, workshops, visiting missions, etc.

• Maintains up-to-date and chronological work project files (both in paper and electronic).

• Assists team by translating/drafting a variety of routine documents, applying effective proofreading and grammar skills in English and in Spanish.

• Coordinating with the other IFC office and with the World Bank.

• Performs other duties as required by the Country Manager.
