This role will be responsible for strengthening the performance, quality and impact of Christian Aid’s large and complex programmes, with a focus on Community Health. Working with our country offices across the globe, you will provide technical support to enable them to deliver against programme commitments and ensure timely and robust reporting and learning. This post will have a critical role in ensuring that programme learning informs the on-going development of Christian Aid’s broader programme performance work.
This post is a job share with a current member of staff. Hours of work are likely to be Monday afternoon, Tuesday all day and Wednesday morning/afternoon, although the days are potentially flexible. The post will involve travel overseas. In this instance, travel may be required for a number of weeks, with time off in lieu of contracted hours of work.
You will have substantial experience of programme performance systems and community health (HIV/Malaria) interventions in developing countries and their links to gender and rights based programming. You will have significant experience of working with donors; programme development; monitoring and evaluation and in capacity development. You will have experience of supporting others, including partner organisations to develop programmes. You will be a strategic thinker and have a strong track record of bringing innovative approaches to programme development. You will have excellent written and spoken English and hold a university degree or equivalent qualification.
