LEII Corporate Delivery & Internal Communications Officer UKREP

A full-time fixed term position as a Corporate Delivery and Communications Officer in the UK’s Representation to the EU (UKREP) has become available This position will be responsible for assisting the senior management team in delivering corporate leadership to the Mission and ensuring that this work is well communicated to staff. 

The jobholder will report to the Deputy Head of Mission. 

This role has the potential for working flexible hours or a flexible working pattern.

Main responsibilities

  • Secretary to the Strategic Management Board – preparing the agenda, producing minutes and assisting in the timely implementation of decisions taken by the board [20%];
  • Secretary to the Business Board - preparing the agenda, producing minutes and assisting in the timely implementation of decisions taken by the board, working with the FCO Corporate Services in Brussels [20%];
  • Provide support to the Senior Management Team on internal corporate processes such as Succession Planning, Induction, Business Planning [15%];
  • Assist the senior management team progressing corporate projects, especially the annual staff survey process – both participation and follow up to the results [10%];
  • Deliver UKREP’s internal communications strategy, including through the preparation of staff meetings, corporate messages and priorities and content for UKREP’s intranet and Sharepoint sites [25%];
  • Lead on the organisation of pan-UKREP staff events [10%].

Essential skills and experience

  • Excellent organisation skills. Proven ability to plan and organise resources to deliver objectives;
  • Ability to take responsibility; show initiative; and respond flexibly to changing priorities;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and creativity skills;
  • Excellent writing skills. Ability to write engagingly and to communicate convincingly with different audiences;
  • Good IT skills with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Fluent English.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Previous experience working for the UK Government;
  • Experience or knowledge of internal communications;
  • Proven experience in project and time management;
  • Experience of working with senior management teams.
This position will be filled as a fixed term contract. 

Gross Monthly salary: €2736.57
