Shanghai University - Sydney Institute of Language and Commerce (SILC)


Sydney Institute of Language and Commerce (SILC) was founded in 1994, and was the earliest Sino-foreign cooperative business institute established in China. Since then, it has gained fame at home and abroad. The founding partner university is the University of Technology, Sydney. In 2006, SILC was chosen as the pilot school to receive quality accreditation by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, thus becoming not only the first Sino-foreign cooperative business school to receive such accreditation by a state authorized audit organization, but also the first school to ever pass the accreditation process.
Requirements
  • Qualified candidates will possess a completed PhD and have an international education and research background, will have majored in information management or an automation related area.
  • Candidates are expected to be professional, and have a good teamwork spirit and high-level communication skills.
  • Priorities are given to applicants who have more than 3 years practical experience in network programming and database development technology research experience, to applicants with a construction industry background, to applicants with BIM related software development (AUTODESK or DASSAULT) experience, to applicants with three-dimensional virtual simulation software development experience, to applicants with other related architectural design software experience, and to applicants with RFID, RS, mobile platform development experience.
  • Priorities are given to applicants who have teaching experience in at world class colleges and universities
  • Full-time or Part-time Lecture candidates are expected to have capacities in teaching in English and conducting research at international level, and the potential to publish high-level papers and manage research projects.
  • Full time or Part-time Associate professor candidates are expected to have outstanding ability in teaching in English and conducting research at an international level. Candidates are expected to have already published high-level papers and be able to manage research projects. Fresh graduates can be internally hired as associate professor.
  • Full time position for International business school accreditation We are preparing for international business school accreditation, Candidates are expected to be familiar with AACSB or EQUIS system, have outstanding ability in English and be able to manage accreditation projects.
Salary InformationFull-time Lectures: RMB 150,000 p.a.
Full-time Associate professors : RMB 200,000 p.a.
Professor: Discuss on an individual basis
Part-time Lecture and Professor: Discuss on an individual basis
