Today, we provide consulting services to our clients all over the world. 

MWH International Development, based in La Hulpe, south of Brussels, is the MWH unit that provides consulting services to international institutions, such as the European Commission (EC), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the World Bank, the United Nations, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, governments and government agencies. Our services include design, procurement and construction supervision for water, wastewater, energy and waste projects as well as management support and monitoring and evaluation of large investment programmes. Our main geographical focus lies on Europe, Africa and other developing countries. 

You will be supporting the team in all the various tasks related to preparation of offers. You will be required to demonstrate a combination of discipline, flexibility, and precision in all task.

Responsibilities and requirements

  • Supporting MWH during the bid preparation process;
  • Researching background information;
  • Assisting in administrative/office tasks (preparation of documents, presentations and spreadsheets);
  • Managing tight deadlines;
  • Documents control and archiving;
  • Organizing meeting and travel arrangements for staff and visiting experts;
  • Other tasks as required;
  • University degree (or candidate);
  • Knowledge of the public service industry and/or European Commission external assistance policies would be considered an advantage;
  • Academic background and/or professional experience in the field environment/energy/climate change would be considered as an asset;
  • IT-skills: advanced use of MS Office, particularly Excel, Internet;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Languages: solid written and spoken English; French is advantageous;
  • Work ethics, dynamism and ability to cope with multiple tasks.

The internship will take place in our office in La Hulpe, Belgium. Compensation will be provided.
