Assistant Manager, Investigations

Introduction
Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of ​Assistant Manager, Investigations.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible to:
  • manage the investigation unit to ensure proper implementation of policies and procedures;
  • plan, coordinate, supervise and document the investigations with respect to AKU campuses in Pakistan;
  • coordinate the institutional risk & vulnerability analysis process in collaboration with security operations and user departments;
  • complete independent, objective investigations, ensuring a high quality of work undertaken by the team, which is often cross-divisional and is delivered within defined timeframes;
  • organize information collection efforts which directly affect the working of AKU;
  • prepare and summaries the investigation reports on monthly/quarterly basis to identify the crime trends;
  • coordinate with Board of investment (BOI) and Ministry of Interior (MOI) on behalf of HR to expedite the process of work permits for the expatriates;
  • liaison with the local police and city government for the police registration of expatriates / repatriates and information on crime / law and order situation in the city and for obtaining NOCs.
Requirements
  • Law graduate / Master’s preferred; trained in military academy with specialization in intelligence or related courses including investigation techniques; Intelligence and communication background will be preferred.
  • Captain / Major from Pak Army / Civil Armed Forces (Retired/Reserved) with an experience of at least 4 to 5 years.
  • Thorough knowledge of conducting investigations. A team leader with an investigative mindset and an eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative techniques for investigations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; have acumen for interviews and investigations
  • Proficiency in Oral/ written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Deep understanding of importance of confidentiality of client data.
  • Proficiency in use of computer packages especially MS Office.
