We are seeking to appoint a Director of Student, Learning and Teaching Services, who will be responsible for the delivery and enhancement of services for and about students, including services relevant to support for teaching and learning, at the University of Reading.
Under the directorship of the Head of University Administration, you will undertake strategic planning and prioritisation of Student, Learning and Teaching Services in order to maintain and enhance services.
You will have:
  • Knowledge of the major issues in learning and teaching.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage both people and budgets.
  • Awareness of current policy and climate in HE both nationally and internationally; along with an understanding of the regulatory issues relevant to HE.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • The ability to think strategically, prioritise and make decisions whilst working across boundaries in a complex organisation.
  • Experience in a similar leadership role.
