Faculty Positions in English Teaching Department


Shanghai University (SU) is a key multi-disciplinary university of the state ‘211 Project’, top 100 universities in China in 21st century. Shanghai University was formed in May 1994 by consolidating Shanghai University of Technology, Shanghai University of Science and Technology, Shanghai University and Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology.
Sydney Institute of Language and Commerce (SILC) was founded in 1994, and was the earliest Sino-foreign cooperative business institute established in China. Since then, it has gained fame at home and abroad. The founding partner university is the University of Technology, Sydney. In 2006, SILC was chosen as the pilot school to receive quality accreditation by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, thus becoming not only the first Sino-foreign cooperative business school to receive such accreditation by a state authorized audit organization, but also the first school to ever pass the accreditation process.
Requirements
English Language Teachers Number: 25
Essential Criteria:
  • An undergraduate degree
  • A recognized TESOL, linguistics or education qualification (e.g. CELTA, Dip Ed)
  • A minimum of two years teaching experience
  • An ability to work as part of a team
Desirable criteria:
  • Experience in Academic English, Business English, English for Specific Purposes or Test Preparation English
  • Professional experience in a university context
Salary and BenefitsBase salaries are between 8000RMB and 10000RMB per month (dependent on qualifications and experience).
