Finance Officer

​Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Finance Officer.
This position is for a period of one(1) year - subject to further renewal.
Responsibilities
​The incumbent will be responsible to:
  • assist in reviewing budgets of grant proposals submitted to external agencies
  • assist in reviewing financial aspects of grant agreements and ensure its compliance as per the institution policy
  • prepare financial reports as per the reporting schedule of grants
  • prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports including financial performance, newsletter and/or any other report as per management requirement
  • assist in coordinating with internal and external auditors for conduct of grant audits
  • check and get approval of payment and journal vouchers pertaining to grant, ensuring that it is supported by adequate supporting documentation and proper deduction of taxes, if any.
Requirements
  • ACCA, CIMA or ICMA finalist or MBA with majors in Finance
  • minimum three years of relevant working experience
  • sound knowledge of overall financial systems
  • excellent analytical, interpersonal communication and report writing skills
  • proficiency in computer applications especially MS Office
  • ability to work under pressure and meet stringent timelines.
