Job Purpose
  • Manage Etihad Entry Into Service Project ensuring that the first A380 and B787 are entering Service at the required time, products to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost
  • Champion corporate governance requirements in relation to Project management
Responsibilities
  • Manage EIS project to time, cost and functionality objectives
  • Creates and executes project work plans/roadmaps, tracking progress against milestones, maintaining risk/issues logs and preparing/conducting meetings and agendas
  • Assess all sub-projects, identify potential risks and suggest mitigations while escalating major issues/concerns to VP EIS in order to avoid project delays
  • Act as central point-of-contact and “single source of truth” for all EIS related activity across EY. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project within a defined scope
  • Effectively applies EY methodology and enforces project standards. Liaises with Corporate PMO to provide input into any centralized project reporting
  • Communicate with senior Etihad internal stakeholders through working groups and steering committees. Influences decision-making with these multi-business unit stakeholders to the benefit of the project and business benefits
  • Champion corporate governance requirements in relation to Project management
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Avoid duplication of tasks and activities between projects
  • Able to capture and manage conflicting requirements from senior business stakeholders
  • Project Accounting:
     
    - Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis
     
    - Manages project budget.
     
    - Coordinate business case developments and RfP’s for overall project and sub-project if required, in consultation with the Business Unit
RequirementsQualification & Education:
  • University degree or equivalent qualification
  • Optionally recognised professional Airline Management or Engineering qualification
Experience
  • Successful track record in implementing large projects
  • 10 years job-related or project experience in the field of Commercial Aviation, Airline Operation and/or Product Development is generally preferred
  • At least 5 years in Project Delivery roles
Training & Knowledge:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High computer literacy
  • Excellent creative writing skills
  • Strategic planning and project management skills
