This is a newly created role to manage and develop the day to day resourcing and field operations to deliver remarkable guest experiences and safety standards in the delivery of Hala Abu Dhabi products while maximizing utilization to deliver the most cost effective solutions.
Responsibilities
Manage daily operational requirements of fleet and manpower to ensure a smooth field services through the use of FMS and contracted 3rd party suppliers whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.
Liaise with senior personnel in key government departments with regards to permissions for events, licencing for tours and safaris and special approvals.
Develop and implement operational procedures and ensure that they are adhered to maintain consistent standards of service. Implement necessary controls to monitor safety procedures set by Hala Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways safety department to minimize the company’s exposure to accidents and potential liability & comply with overseas consumer protection laws.
Forecast and assess the requirements for daily vehicle use based on business trend and outsource to 3rd party suppliers when required and within budget. Negotiate as required with the 3rd party suppliers for best rates and internal departments to enable optimum vehicle utilization.
Liaise with the recruitment department to conduct selection process for new staff. Develop and deliver product training on our principles of Safety, Education and Enjoyment; to include off road driving techniques theoretical and practical as well as on the job coaching. Manage enrolment process for TCA tour guide training.
Lead, manage and motivate staff to deliver remarkable customer service and creation of guest experiences. Benchmark other service providers and innovate Hala Abu Dhabi product to be best led Abu Dhabi based DMC for field services.
Consolidate budgetary figures for field operations and submit to Senior Manager. Manage daily budget including any staff overtime costs.
Manage design and build of desert camp for Hala Abu Dhabi in conjunction with Senior Manager Hala Abu Dhabi, facilities management and local authorities, to create a unique product offering to support the strategy of product led market share.
Analyze information and based on statistical data make recommendations on day to day and broader issues in order to ensure that productivity and customer service levels are maintained. Use information to forecast all resources – vehicles, staff, equipment – for short, medium and long term.
Requirements
Qualification & Education:
Fluent English both oral & written
Experience:
5+ years in Safari & field operations
Solid people management experience
Solid experience in the operational management of events
Budgeting/costing experience in MS Office/Excel
Training & Knowledge:
Experienced at training off road driving techniques
