Senior Paediatrics Research Nurse or Clinical Study Coordinator

An exciting opportunity is available for a registered nurse or project manager to play a key role in providing support to the paediatric clinical research projects undertaken within the Thames Valley through South Central Childrens Research (SoCCR). The Senior Research Nurse/Clinical Study Coordinator will be based in the Childrens Hospital and will administer, maintain and coordinate the logistical aspects of several projects including the multicentre UK arm of a European clinical trial of Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome (OMS), a very rare childhood neurological disease, as well as working across the portfolio of studies being undertaken by the comprehensive paediatric research team.
Main responsibilities would include project coordination and management, communications and networking and supporting the research team. As the postholder you must be a registered nurse and/or have previous research coordinator/project manager experience. You should also have excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to organise, prioritise and coordinate your workload, have the ability to act on your own initiative, but also as part of a team, and have basic computer literacy on Microsoft packages (Word, Access, Excel). Previous experience in teaching/presenting and clinical research, as well as access to your own transport, is desirable but not essential.
