GIS Analyst, Conservation Partnerships Fauna & Flora International

Salary: Circa £28,000
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration of Contract: Two-year fixed-term contract

Location: Fauna & Flora International, Cambridge, UK

FFI is seeking a GIS Analyst to join its Conservation Partnerships team, predominantly providing spatial support for our Business & Biodiversity programme. You will have undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), or alternatively qualifications in applied GIS with a degree in life sciences, environmental studies or other relevant subject. Remote sensing qualifications and/or experience would be an advantage. With an interest in conservation, you will ideally have applied experience in spatial and temporal analysis of wildlife, conservation or environmental issues. With excellent writing, organisational and prioritising skills, you will be highly motivated, show initiative and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be expected to become involved in all aspects of FFI conservation programmes. S/he will be expected to encourage the use of GIS for conservation planning and science applications throughout the organisation to assist FFI to further achieve its mission and communicate achievements. This is a dynamic position which requires initiative and innovative thinking, in addition to enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference in conservation.
