Customer Segment Marketing Manager


Summary of Responsibilities:
This position has overall responsibility for the strategic marketing planning and execution of the Amadeus offer to the Online Travel Agency and MetaSearch segment in order to drive revenues and profit growth. 
 
The Customer Segment Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic marketing plan in line with the commercial objectives and market needs of North America.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • A comprehensive understanding of the business needs, trends, and dynamics of the segment.
  • Identifying, sizing, and prioritizing business opportunities.
  • Contributing to development of customer value proposition.
  • Maintain, and translate into targeted messages that are driven though all commercial activity.
  • Developing a detailed strategic marketing plan, fully coordinated with the commercial, product, development and implementation teams that set sales revenue and market share targets for the segment.
  • Executing on plan  the appropriate marketing mix; develop and deliver sales tools to help the commercial team achieve objectives and implement its sales plans.

Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of strategic marketing and marketing communication experience in a B2B environment with a background in the technology industry (OLTA/travel industry experience is preferred).
  • Solid understanding of business-to-business marketing principles, business models, and technology.
  • Professional experience working with technology development and product management.
  • Professional experience in developing marketing strategies and marketing plans.
  • Strong analytic and strategic skills to assist in the development of value propositions and customer segmentation strategies.
  • Proven ability to develop, execute and implement strategic marketing plans based on focused strong understanding of customer needs.
  • Strong ability to develop B2B, customer-oriented, communications with benefit-based positioning of technology  offering.
  • Ability to handle and coordinate multiple projects while maintaining focus and vision. 
  • Ability to work and thrive under rapidly changing environments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Travel industry experience required.
  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing or equivalent applicable Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  • Location: Waltham, MA.
  • 25% travel required.
