Summary of Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for leading and managing the Technical Product Management and Configuration group in Amadeus Scandinavia
You are responsible for securing maintenance of all our locally developed products including maintenance management of central products over the products? whole lifecycle and to secure configurations of all delivered products and solutions including configuration services in our service offering. Creation and development of test methodology and process and to secure that these are followed and adhered to is also included in your area of responsibility.
As a member of the Portfolio Operations management group, you are expected to contribute with your expertise in your professional field and share responsibility for all overall decisions.
With an Amadeus Scandinavia overall business plan and Customer Delivery division specific operational plan as the basis, you are expected to run your unit, at all time, taking into account and synchronizing with the areas of responsibilities of other departments/units.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Technical Product Management and Configuration department in close cooperation with the Portfolio Operations management group, focus on increasing the creation of value and customer satisfaction to ensure that Amadeus maintains and develops its market leading position and profitability.
- Take responsibility for planning own area of responsibility and creating departmental plans based on overall and divisional business plans including budgeting and forecasting and to support divisional and top management in overall business planning.
- Implement, maintain and develop processes and tools in your area of responsibility.
Create and maintain maintenance policies for all products and solutions in partnership with Sr
- Create and maintain maintenance policies for all products and solutions in partnership with Sr Manager of the Product Marketing Management department.
- Create, maintain and own updated maintenance plans for all products to enable a consistent approach to maintenance including reporting and follow-up per product and product area.
- Secure that we work according to defined and communicated maintenance plans for each product.
- Overall responsibility for all escalated and open PTR:s and LPTR:s on the Scandinavian market including status and production dates per product and to drive progress on our open (L)PTR:s. You are also expected to secure that the information on open (L)PTR:s are communicated to relevant functions and groups within the company.
- Secure that employees in your unit are working, supporting and participating in projects assigned to them in a professional way according to defined processes and methodologies.
- Support and work with our marketing unit to secure efficient handling of product and solution maintenance and in market releases, including technical analyzes and technical documentation.
- Provide Marketing with recommendations on new announced releases from our central organization.
- Secure efficient and qualitative configuration services on all our launched products and solutions on the Scandinavian market.
- Provide customers with configuration services and other related services in our service offering
- Secure that decided testpolicy is applied within the organizational structure.
- Define and secure the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery.
- Deploy and manage the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate.
- Implement and evolve appropriate measurements and metrics for the testing area
- Plan, deploy, and manage the testing effort for any given engagement / release.
- Manage and grow testing assets required for meeting the testing mandate
- Secure skilled testing personnel.
Requirements:
· You have a clear commercial focus and are able to translate and base your decisions on an in-depth understanding of the overall corporate strategy.
· You are systematic in your setting, good in communicating and able to maintain a consistent focus on priorities and goals.
· You are experienced in converting the overall corporate strategies into clear operational goals, targets and objectives and - in corporation with the members of your department ? ensuring targets and goals are understood, accepted and met the most efficient way.
· You are capable of understanding how customer related and IT, sales or product/services related changes will influence the department?s strategies, objectives and resource allocation.
· You have the proven ability to - and are motivated by - achieve your targets and goals by cooperating and/or advising and influencing professionals and management from different disciplines, environments and cultures.
· You have an ability to effectively manage own workload and the workload of direct reports, in a high workload environment, in which priorities can change rapidly
· You have an ability to choose relevant communication skills in order to; advise, coach, mentor and/or help in evaluating different ideas
· You have the knowledge, experience and ability to see overall consequences of needed decisions and classify priorities, risk and opportunities associated with each decision ? both from departmental, divisional and overall point of view.
Relevant Job Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical field required or equivalent education.
· At least 3 years experience from being a manager
· 5 years of IT experience in the development or maintenance of software products and/or solutions field of work and with a track record of delivering projects that meet quality, time and budget requirements.
· At least 3 years experience from working with project methodologies and processes
· 2 years of hands-on experience with product lifecycle management and maintenance is preferable
· 2 years experience from an international/Scandinavian organization, preferably an international subsidiary office in Scandinavia.
