Lecturers in Economics British University Vietnam

Due to the further expansion of the British University Vietnam, Hanoi, we are now recruiting Full-Time Lecturers in Economics for our terms in July & September 2013.
Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications/experience, plus alowances to cover flights/accommodation/medical insurance.
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam 
Minimum Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Economics
  • At least 5 years' university teaching experience in Economics in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA or post graduate teaching qualification
  • A clean police record (Vietnamese Legal requirement)
Desirable 
  • PhD in relevant field
  • Experience of teaching postgraduate classes
  • Interest in research

Job descriptionThe Senior Lecturer/Lecturer will:
  • Have responsibility for the delivery of courses in Economics at Undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, seminar and tutorials on the University of London and Staffordshire University degree programmes; set and mark student assessments
  • Be a personal tutor
  • Participate in personal and professional development activities; attend faculty, board and course development meetings and consultative committees; contribute to the general learning community, as required by the University
  • Provide support to marketing or student development activities or to other student-related matters, as required
  • Undertake other academic administrative tasks, as required
The successful candidate should be able to work effectively, both independently and as a team member and should be adaptable and culturally sensitive. 
Please note that original Certificates and Degrees will be required on arrival in Vietnam (Degree and Teaching Certificates; CRB or other Police Checks) as they are required for Work Permit purposes.
