Process Engineer - Industrial Water Treatment.

   The Candidate: We expect the successful candidate to have experience and / or qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline, most probably chemical or possibly mechanical engineering.

Previous experience in the basic design of water treatment systems using all types of membrane and ion exchange systems, plus EDI is important. In addition the candidate should ideally be experienced in the production of quotations and in meeting with and making presentations to clients.

Although this position will be based in the pre-contract department, all members of staff are expected to be flexible and undertake other work as and when necessary to meet the demands of the business. Pre-Contract: 1. Completing Basic design work 2. Specifying equipment requirements 3. Co-ordinating with equipment / system suppliers 4. Preparation of quotations & drawings 5. Assistance with selling to clients 6.

Follow-up, liaison and potentially meetings with clients 7. Preparation of detailed designs as part of the post-contract team as necessary 8. Site visits as appropriate / Collection of information for quotation preparation Post-Contract 1. Specifying of equipment, ensuring its quality and compliance with the Company’s and clients’ specifications (where appropriate) and our quotation. 2.

Production of Functional Design Specifications based on outline operating process concepts. 3. Providing periodic technical support for clients with water treatment plants of various types. 4. Assisting in the bringing to market, sales, support and servicing of new water treatment products & technologies. 5. Providing on site support and technical expertise. 6. Fault finding & rectification. Training: Training will be provided as necessary.

Insofar as the work elements themselves are concerned, this will be a mixture "hands-on" training and discussion / agreement about how the work should be done as the role develops. As & when additional formal training may be necessary, this will be provided. Part of the training package may be a period spent in Germany. This is an essential requirement, when required, and therefore possession of a valid passport is essential.
