Responsibilities include:
- Provide logistical support for trade specialists who will be based in neighboring countries such as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Turkmenistan
- Organize regional workshops to cover such issues as marketing, access to finance, market information, and trade opportunities to encourage a cross-country dialogue on key issues affecting the trade enabling environment
- Increase networking opportunities among the private sector by facilitating trade fairs, conferences, business events, economic forums, and exhibitions throughout the region to provide a platform for conducting business on a national and regional scale
- Support the harmonization of customs procedures, exchange of customs information, integrated IT solutions, recommendations from regional trade specialists, and other streamlining procedures for transit corridors
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in trade policy, trade law, customs, or economics preferred
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Qualified nationals are encouraged to apply
- English fluency required
