Chief of party Côte d'Ivoire

Chemonics seeks a chief of party for the anticipated five-year, USAID-funded Côte d'Ivoire Legislative Strengthening Project. The project aims to build the capacity of Côte d'Ivoire's National Assembly in legislation, oversight, and representation, and to develop its representation and oversight of constituencies. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Chemonics and USAID/West Africa
  • Oversee day-to-day management and implementation
  • Ensure quality control
  • Manage long-term and short-term personnel
  • Guarantee appropriateness and responsiveness of assistance
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant social or administrative science required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with donor-funded legislative strengthening programs or working at the management-level within a legislature, preferably in Francophone Africa
  • Progressively responsible managerial experience implementing complex donor-funded activities
  • Track record of being a proactive project director who collaborates effectively with counterparts, other contractors, and donors
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Fluency in French and English required​
