Senior Advisor/Deputy Director – Centre for Health Systems & Solutions – Based in London

Our HEALTH practice has exciting plans to expand its portfolio with major bilateral clients in Europe and the UK as well as Australia and the USA, To support this expansion, we are looking to appoint a senior professional who will drive profitability and maximise opportunities across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct strategic analysis to identify, pursue, and realize new business opportunities and programs, including formulating proposal strategy and proposal preparation
  • Lead and successfully deliver on projects with resulting high client satisfaction
  • provide institutional direction for further development;
  • liaise with and maintain networks and relationships with key clients, partners and associates;
  • lead and oversee HEALTH tenders;
  • Lead, advise, and write sections of proposal efforts and key reports
  • manage and develop our key assets…our people.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Masters-level or Doctoral-level degree in a health or related scientific/public health discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience related to essential functions above
  • In-depth experience and understanding of international health and other donor programs and the workings of donor agencies such as USAID, CDC and PEPFAR, DFID, World Bank and non-government foundations and private sector organisations
  • Superior financial acumen, political acuity and diplomacy;
  • Commercial “savvy” coupled with innate ability to think strategically;
  • Outstanding leadership and relationship management;
  • Proven record of building, leading and managing teams whilst creating an enabling work environment; A track record and strong reputation for delivering to client (e.g. DFID; USAID; AusAid) expectations
  • Ability to influence and liaise at a senior level; understanding of the economic, social and political context of the regions in which GRM operates;
