Economist – Jakarta, Indonesia – AusAID funded Poverty Reduction Support Facility (PRSF)

PRSF is a joint facility between AusAID and the Government of Indonesia to improve the quality of policy advice for poverty programs in Indonesia.

The Poverty Economist will coordinate the activities of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Team within the UPSPK unit. He/she is responsible for providing technical assistance to inform the future development of the unified database and improve the effectiveness of its use by social protection programs.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated:

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience relevant to economic development/poverty/social protection and a record of research/published work; .
  • Experience in analyzing large-scale and longitudinal household survey datasets;
  • Experience in conducting research and applying econometric methods relevant to poverty measurement and analysis;
  • Excellent knowledge of econometrics, statistical analysis and programming principles and techniques;
  • Proficiency with standard econometric software packages (STATA);
  • Ability to present economic/statistical information in user-friendly formats.
