Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator (YWJ/CAT)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in all daily monitoring and evaluation related work for two IYF programs: the Youth:Work Jordan program, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID); and the EquipYouth program, funded by the Caterpillar Foundation.
  • Direct implementation of tools and forms according to established monitoring and evaluation plans and frameworkS.
  • Support the M&E Specialist in the conduct of final evaluations for programs.
  • Conduct regular site monitoring visits, and ensuring quality control and troubleshooting problems as needed.
  • Assist in the verification and input of all forms and surveys that have been provided by IYF partners into IYF’s online M&E data system.
  • Assist in the analysis of results and development of monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports, in addition to other briefings, papers, and presentations for various audiences and tabulating and verifying data as needed.
  • Work closely with IYF technical team, particularly field managers and coordinators, to coordinate the tracking of program youth.
  • Identify any problems and challenges that may arise and offer solutions accordingly.
  • Provide capacity building support through shadowing and training workshops for the different partners as needed

SUPERVISION

Supervised by Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a social science, development or equivalent standard of education.
  • Academic training or specialized coursework in monitoring and evaluation is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in conducting research, reporting, and carrying out evaluations.
  • Knowledge of/experience with programs that support youth employment and/or social services (e.g. education, health) preferred.
  • Experience with USAID programs and systems/regulations preferred.
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. In addition, strong skills in SPSS, spreadsheets, and database management are preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time within Jordan.
