A leading EPC is looking for a Experienced Boiler Welding Specialist to Assist the WorleyParsons Outage Readiness Assessment team in performing independent assessments of power station’s readiness to execute planned outages
Duties and responsibilities of teh Boiler Welding Specialist include Performing independent outage readiness assessments on coal-fired power plants with sizes ranging from 150 to 700 MW and peaking power stations (hydro power plants, diesel power plants, open cycle and closed cycle power plants).
Perform Independent reviews and assessments on our Client’s various power plants with regards to their readiness to perform planned outages. These independent reviews will follow the companies ORI process and will cover such issues as, but not limited to; Client User Requirements Specification for the outage, Outage project and plant maintenance scope of works documents, pre-outage work schedules, outage schedule review meetings with the Client’s boiler contractors for their proposed scope of work and schedule for the power plant’s boiler,Write reports and provide recommendations for improving planned power plant outages based on outage assessment reviews.
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 15 years experience in Coal-fired Power Plants, or Combined Cycle Power Plants, or Cogeneration Plants
- Minimum 10 years experience in managing boiler maintenance and overhauls during outages
