The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. | Candidate will have independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities. |
| Requirements |
| Candidates must have completed a structured post-graduate training programme from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, Intercollegiate FRCS (UK), American Board or equivalent qualification. Applicants for Associate Professor should have at least eight years of teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate institution, with five years’ post-terminal experience of teaching. S/he should also have minimum eight research publications in journals recognized jointly by HEC and PMDC with at least two of these publications in the last five years, while those for Assistant Professor should have at least two years experience as Senior Instructor/equivalent in a reputable institution. |
